Road Safety Officer
Salary: £31,099 - £33,820 (pay award pending)
Full Time 37 hours
Based at Alltami, Mold with Agile Working
Be part of a team that’s helping to set out the direction for transport in Wales. Road safety strategy is evolving and our vision is for roads and streets to be shared spaces where everyone feels safe and welcome. If you’re someone motivated to turn your innovative thinking into tangible change, we would love to hear from you. You will join a supportive, open-minded and enthusiastic team at an exciting time.
You will influence road safety strategy at a local, regional and national level but also help Flintshire’s children, residents and workers get from A to B safely by commissioning services and delivering initiatives in line with national road safety policy.
We have a track record in Wales to be proud of and our Transport Strategy Team has a wide remit. As well as road safety, we are responsible for traffic engineering, transport policy & planning, active travel and new infrastructure delivery. Skilful relationship building will be an important skill as you will be working with the government, North Wales Police, councillors and town & community councils.
If you have experience in any of these areas, want to further your career and make your mark, please see our job description & person specification. We will consider part time, job-share or flexible working and our policies facilitate work life balance. Our attractive offer includes a local government pension scheme and other benefits.
