Reporting to the Head of Operations, this is a significant managerial role, with up to 5 direct reports, around 450 staff and managing a budget of circa £30m turnover.
You will have autonomy to use your proven experience to lead the garage you manage in delivering success in a range of commercial, performance and financial targets by providing out of the box solutions. You will need a proven track record in relevant roles within the bus sector, preferably with experience of intense city operations with solid commercial and financial skills and a proven understanding of legislative requirements and best practice and an absolute focus on delivering results. (A Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers in Passenger Transport and Road Haulage is essential). Your leadership and interpersonal skills are even more important to us. You’ll be recognised as having high personal credibility and a disciplined and positive approach, which inspires trust and delivery. You’ll be adept at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and will be a visible leader who can engage with colleagues at all levels across the organisation. By challenging the status quo and demonstrating tenacity and diplomacy, you’ll have a capacity to see changes through to successful delivery.
