Strategic Transport Lead
Salary: £44,539 - £47,573 per annum

WCBC are looking to appoint a suitably experienced and motivated Senior Transport Manager to lead the city’s approach to improving connectivity and sustainable transport in Wrexham. This is a new role, which will be key to ensuring the development and delivery of our Integrated Transport Unit.

The post holder will support and lead on developing innovative approaches to sustainable and well-connected transport delivery, to support our decarbonisation agenda. They will contribute to collaborative projects and the production of regional/sub-regional initiatives, which match our exciting ambitions of connecting people to key services and opportunities, through increasingly sustainable modes of transport.

As well as taking the lead on Wrexham’s transport and mobility aspirations, the post holder will manage a team of officers who coordinate all statutory and regulatory functions providing the authority’s response to the management and coordination of the following functional areas of: Public transport; Passenger transport (including school transport); Active travel; and Road safety.
