Your New Role
As the Principal Analyst, you will be part of the Regeneration Directorate and will support the South East Hampshire Rapid Transit (SEHRT) Programme Tranche 2, Air Quality (AQ) Programme, Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) and other transport strategy, programmes and projects in the delivery of the monitoring and evaluation plans and benefits realisation. Moreover, there will be the requirement to support the programme management functions by collating, analysing and presenting information to inform the delivery.

What you’ll need to succeed
You will have a relevant first degree and a master’s degree in relevant discipline or demonstrable equivalent professional experience (desirable). You will have experience of utilising and analysing qualitative and quantitative data sources. You will also have experience of developing monitoring and evaluation tools.
You will also be able to build credible working relationships, build rapport and negotiate with and influence others. You will be able to develop positive partnership ways of working, with a range of stakeholders and be able to communicate messages (which may be complicated or sensitive) clearly, concisely and at a level appropriate to the audience, who may not be specialists in data analytics or projects.
You will have excellent writing skills and be able to work independently and proactively, along with the ability to prioritise your workload. You will also be able to demonstrate higher level thinking skills, in order to think through issues, make connections through datasets which draw on this bigger picture view of transport.
If you have experience of dealing with financial and budget management as well as well developed project delivery skills, including skills for coordination, liaison and the ability to plan and monitor project plans then we would love to hear from you.
