The team leader (Highways Infrastructure) is a key role in managing the Council’s Highways Asset, with a broad-ranging responsibility including co-ordination of inventory data, highway improvements programme management and financial planning and reporting.

 

You will lead on the development and implementation of an overarching highways asset management strategy which will be key to securing funding internally and from external agencies.

 

You will be a qualified, experienced engineer with excellent people management and budget management skills with the ability to formulate strategy and translate these into achievable objectives.

 

You will have a thorough knowledge of asset management and its practical applications with the ability to prepare effective business cases and reports.

 

You will have a financial acumen with experience in operating within budgetary constraints, with an understanding of external partnerships, contractor management and commissioning.
