We are looking to recruit a new Senior Project Manager’s to provide, lead and where necessary procure the specialist services needed to design and manage the delivery of extensive externally funded programmes of work as well as the delivery of the City Council’s Local Transport Plan Programme, public transport services and developer related highway works. You will also lead and direct multi-disciplinary project teams in a manner that secures the delivery of multi-million pound projects to time, cost and quality targets.

This is an exciting time to join Brighton & Hove City Council within the Transport Projects and Engineering team. We have an ambitious range of projects to roll out across the city. Though much has already been achieved, much still needs to be done to improve services which will ensure the successful delivery of current projects, as well as developing new ones.
To directly lead, performance manage, develop staff and be responsible for the delivery of capital transport projects such as Low Traffic Neighbourhoods, walking and cycling initiatives, School Streets, and the provision of public transport throughout the City, ensuring that any applicable nationally and locally set performance management targets and the Council’s performance management standards are met.
As the successful candidate, you will lead, manage and co-ordinate inter-departmental and multi-disciplinary project teams working on strategic multi-million-pound projects in Brighton and Hove involving high level discussion and negotiation with planners, solicitors, accountants, private sector developers and transport operators and such other organisations and individuals as may be involved in these projects.
You will have a track record of successfully developing and delivering service improvements, and you will also have a strong customer ethos a collaborative approach and excellent communication skills across a broad range of diverse groups.
