Looking for an exciting new challenge leading a team to improve, maintain and manage the highway network in the county of Gloucestershire?
About The Team & Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and dedicated team in Gloucestershire as Network manager, where you will support the Assistant Director Traffic & Transport in the development and implementation of policy and effective service objectives geared towards a safe, accessible and expeditious movement of people and goods in the county’s road network.
As a vital member of our senior team, you will be responsible for the teams in Network Management which include Streetworks, Signals, Highway Records, Parking and Ultra Low Emission Vehicle projects. You will lead and develop a team of professional staff. You will be accountable for evidence-led cost-effective decisions to secure investment within your area. This is a great opportunity to make a significant impact, by ensuring that our highways meet the evolving needs of our community and meet the councils desired outcomes.
In this role, you will take charge of developing, implementing, and maintaining the network management plan and associated strategies, policies, and processes within our local authority. You will be able to provide comprehensive, timely professional advice, guidance, and information in relation to the design and function of the network to stakeholders and be comfortable in presenting to elected members, senior officers, and handling media inquiries when necessary.
