Derbyshire County Council is looking for a dynamic and committed Sustainable Transport Officer to contribute to the development and implementation of our Low Emission Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) Strategy. This role is a fantastic opportunity to help shape sustainable transport initiatives, supporting our goals to deliver clean and efficient electric vehicle infrastructure across the region.

Key aspects of this role also include:
Assist with the roll-out of the Council’s LEVI Strategy, ensuring successful delivery of electric vehicle infrastructure projects, from concept through to installation.
Manage and collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including district councils, central government departments (such as OLEV), commercial partners, and Charge Point Operators (CPOs).
Support the Senior LEVI Officer in overseeing projects, ensuring they meet agreed timelines, budgets, and key objectives. This includes liaising with private sector landowners, managing procurement processes, and monitoring installation.
Work with regional partners, such as the East Midlands Combined Authority and Midlands Connect, to develop innovative transport solutions.

What skills/experience will you need?
Experience in project management and stakeholder coordination, preferably in transport and infrastructure projects.
Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders, including government bodies, businesses, and the public.
A professional or technical qualification in a relevant field or comparable work experience.
