Job description
Directorate: Regeneration & Environment
Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week

Rotherham Borough Council is responsible for the enforcement of on-street and off-street parking restrictions across the borough.
If you are interested in making a valuable contribution to improving the environment within the locality, we would like to hear from you.

Enforcement patrols are undertaken on foot or using a Council vehicle in all weather conditions and a current clean driving licence (for a manual vehicle) is therefore required.

A uniform is provided and the shift pattern is a 37 hour week including some Saturdays. A rota is worked which involves days off in lieu of Saturdays.

You will need to have good communication skills, high standards of customer care and an ability to deal with demanding situations, using tact, courtesy and diplomacy. Experience of using a hand held or desk top computer is desirable, although full training will be provided and there will be an opportunity to undertake additional vocational training.
