Transport Planner/Modeller (Infrastructure Planning Officer)

There is a lot happening in Cumbria, with over £25 billion of investment and nearly 20,000 new homes being delivered over the next decade.  The planning and delivery of the infrastructure to support this growth is critical. We are seeking motivated and innovative individuals to join our infrastructure planning team. 

A key role of this team is to ensure the infrastructure needed to support growth can be identified and delivered.  This requires working with district council partners, the Cumbria LEP, the development industry and government departments and its agencies.

We are looking for a transport planner/transport modeller with experience or knowledge in transport and infrastructure planning and delivery including transport studies, strategic transport modelling and economic appraisal of infrastructure schemes.

The work is varied and rewarding and the successful candidate will have an opportunity to make a difference and help Cumbria to fulfil its potential.
