Want to work on major UK and overseas development projects? Our client has an exciting vacancy for a talented and ambitious Transport Planner to join their London team at either Principal or Senior level.

The team works exclusively on a wide variety of major development planning projects for a range of blue chip clients. The role is client facing, and you will work closely with planning consultants, architects, external project managers and local authorities.

Candidates should have a proven track record in managing multiple teams and delivering projects as a Project Manager / Director to high standards, and be able to lead in the submission of effective proposals to contribute significantly towards winning work. The ability to build strong relationships with existing and new clients, and help identify new business development opportunities, is essential.

You must be degree qualified in a relevant discipline. An M.Sc in addition would be ideal. A strong knowledge of major developments and the transport assessment processes is required. Also, a sound knowledge of the main traffic modelling software applications such as ARCADY, LinSig, PICADY, TRICS etc., and the ability to interpret the outputs.

The role will also involve the management, support and supervision of the more junior members of the team.

Excellent written and communications skills are essential.

This position will particularly suit an ambitious person who is keen to work on major development projects and progress their career rapidly. It's an exciting opportunity!

Our client is prepared to pay a premium for a talented individual, and so the basic salary is very much negotiable at final interview stage. Much will depend on the level of the appointment, so the indicated range from the client of £42-60,000 p.a. is quite wide. A comprehensive and flexible benefits package will also be offered.
