An improved transport network will be key to realising this and the City Transport service is now looking to recruit an exceptional individual with the knowledge and experience to help develop key strategies and plans, and the energy and passion to lead the Strategic Transport Planning team to deliver them.

As an experienced transport professional you will take forward the City’s new transport strategy and shape the development of our future transport programme to support housing and economic growth and address the transport and environmental challenges we face.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills to work with key stakeholders across a range of disciplines to develop an integrated infrastructure plan that supports investment decisions.

The role will lead transport planning professionals looking after planning; policy; partnerships and setting programme objectives.
