There has never been a more exciting - or challenging - time to work in local government, especially in the delivery of Electric Vehicle Infrastructure and meeting London’s net zero ambitions. We are in a period of significant change and opportunity.

Change, because London has a need to rapidly increase the number of on-street charging points for electric vehicles over the next few years. Although London is leading the way in the number of charge points available, It is estimated that an additional 40,000 to 60,000 are needed by 2030.

The Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Scheme (LEVI) is a key opportunity to deliver at increased pace and scale by combining both public and private investment.

London Councils new EV infrastructure team want you to bring your team ethic, initiative and problem-solving skills to ensuring London boroughs can deliver projects to rapidly increase the availability of public, on street electric vehicle charge points.

Requirements
In this role, it will be your job to work as part of a team with London boroughs in delivery of the LEVI scheme by supporting them during procurement, contract management, performance monitoring and by providing advice and ensuring the effective sharing of data and good practice. You will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills, a proven ability to prioritise and manage projects effectively.

You will have excellent written and oral presentation skills, in particular the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.

You will be working closely with colleagues across different organisations and sectors - from London boroughs, the GLA, central government and the private sector - as well as with our media and public affairs team.

This role offers a position at the forefront of local government EV infrastructure delivery in London.
