Want to work on major UK and overseas development projects? Our client has an exciting vacancy for a talented and ambitious Transport Planner to join their London team.

 The team works exclusively on a wide variety of major development planning projects for a range of blue chip clients. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on challenging projects in a supportive team environment that will develop and enhance your skills and career.

Candidates should have a broad background in transport planning, with a bias towards development planning. Some experience in the writing of Transport Assessments, Travel and Management Plans is required, as is some experience in the use of modelling software such as ARCADY, PICADY, LinSig, TRANSYST and/or VISSIM. A knowledge of TRICS would be helpful.

You must be degree qualified in a relevant discipline. An M.Sc in addition would be ideal, but this is not essential.

The role will also involve working closely with Project Managers, Project Directors, Planning Consultants, Architects, and other colleagues in the timely delivery of a wide range of projects.

Excellent written and communications skills are essential.

This position will particularly suit an ambitious person who is keen to work on major development schemes and rapidly progress their career.

Our client is prepared to pay a premium for a talented individual, and so the basic salary is very much negotiable at final interview stage. However, the indicated range from the client is £32-38,000 p.a. A comprehensive and flexible benefits package will also be offered.
