An experienced, enthusiastic Transport Planner is required to join our client's expanding transport planning team in London. This is an exciting, ground floor opportunity for an ambitious person looking to rapidly advance their career with a leading, multi discipline consultant.

Candidates for this position will be degree or HNC/HND qualified in a relevant subject. At least 2 years post graduate experience in transport planning and/or traffic engineering with a private sector consultancy (preferred) or local authorities is required.

The key responsibilities will be :-

(a)  Preparation of transport assessments and travel plans for a wide range of developments?
(b)  Provision of advice to internal and external clients?
(c)  Project and financial management of small to medium projects?
(d)  Development of project opportunities

Candidates should also be:-

(a)  Proficient in Word and Excel?
(b)  Proficient in the use of AutoCAD (2D) in highway layout design up to DMRB standard

(c)  Proficient in the use of CAD based swept path analysis software?
(d)  Proficient in the assessment of junction capacity assessments (ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG etc.)?
(e)  Have a good knowledge of Autotrack?
(f)  Have good presentational skills?
(g)  Able to explain technical issues clearly and concisely

You should have the ability to use your initiative and have a desire to improve your technical capabilities, and have good verbal and written communication skills.

Our client will offer to the successful applicant a competitive basic salary, expected to be in the range of £27-35,000 p.a. together with an attractive benefits package.
