Our client is expanding their SW England office which handles a good range of private and public sector projects. As a result, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Transport Planner to join the team.

Candidates will be degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant subject, and must have good development planning experience (transport) and a strong technical knowledge, which must include transport assessments, travel plans, access strategies, etc. Your responsibilities will be varied, including the writing of high quality reports and analysis work. Good junction modelling skills and highway design skills are essential, and you must be a good communicator.

A good understanding of transportation software such as ARCADY, PICADY, LinSig, TRANSYT etc. is important. Experience in micro-simulation would be ideal (VISSIM or PARAMICS) but this is not essential. Some project management experience would be useful too, but again, this is not essential.

This a permanent staff position with excellent career prospects for an enthusiastic and energetic person. The salary is negotiable, probably in the range £27-35,000 p.a., with a comprehensive benefits package.
