With a strong workload in development planning, our client offers both pre and post planning support to their clients at both a local and national level. An excellent opportunity now exists in our client's office in Surrey for an experienced and talented Senior Transport Planner (Development Planning) to join an expanding team. The work is both interesting and varied.

Degree qualified, candidates must have a proven track record in the development field, with experience covering the preparation and delivery of Transport Statements, Travel Planning and Smarter Choices, Transport Assessments, and Access Feasibility studies. Experience should have been gained in the use of computer software such as ARCADY, OSCADY, TRICS, TRANSYT and / or LinSig. Successful candidates will be proficient with MS applications and experience of micro-simulation software, e.g. VISSIM and/or PARAMICS would be an advantage.

You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to manage small projects to quality, cost and time are essential.

Additionally, familiarity with Manual for Streets, a working knowledge of DMRB, Local Authority Guidelines, and dealing with local government officers would be helpful.

Prospects to progress are excellent. The basic salary is negotiable, but probably in the region of £34-45,000 p.a., depending on experience, together with a comprehensive flexible benefits package.
