The successful candidate will develop a programme for the collection of traffic data and develop, manage and maintain a database, and will be expected to analyse data and understand trends, with the aim of influencing directorate decision making. The successful candidate will be familiar with what is required to monitor the traffic impact of new development. The postholder will be familiar with traffic modelling and arrange runs of the Bedford Traffic Model. Experience of generating income to maintain and expand the database and model would be advantageous.
