The City of London is looking for two outstanding candidates to be part of its dedicated Transport Planning Team. As a member of the RTPI London Planning Team of the Year, you will work proactively and collaboratively with planning colleagues, the City’s Transport Division, Transport for London, applicants and stakeholders to deliver genuinely world class development.
The world’s leading financial centre is at the beginning of a new spatial vision where transport and the public realm form a critical part of Destination City. Transforming the Square Mile’s leisure offer, creating a leading destination for UK and international visitors, workers, and residents. You will be part of a team delivering new places and the routes between them through negotiation of world leading development, their public realm and the s278 agreements that flow from them.
Your role will be integral to delivering that journey as part of one of the best planning teams in the country.

About You
You will be a member of our new Transport Planning team which sits within Development Management to provide an integrated approach to development in the City. You will undertake the evaluation and negotiation of a wide range of planning applications for significant, high profile and complex development.
A creative, solution focused and agile planner with a focus on the bigger picture, you will bring to the role an excellent understanding of the planning system, a strategic approach to Transport Planning and can help build the vision set out in our radical Transport Strategy. You will have good negotiation skills and be able to work collaboratively with other planners in the division who work on all aspects of Development Management.
