Your role in elevating the East Midlands
Improving transport is central to EMCCA’s goal of raising up the East Midlands region. There is no point creating more skills and employment opportunities if people cannot access them. Residents need to connect into the regional web to boost prosperity and prospects.
We want you to provide comprehensive project and programme management support to our Transport Investment and programme development team. Your contribution will be helping to ensure our initiatives deliver their goals and benefit residents across the region.
Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting the delivery of transport investment schemes e.g. assisting in financial administration, updating documentation, ensuring data accuracy, monitoring project timelines and managing project communications.
• Helping to schedule and co-ordinate team events such as workshops and seminars.
• Supporting the delivery of project tasks within time and budget, including keeping action and risk registers up to date.
• Assisting in the preparation and distribution of meeting agendas, minutes, and other key documentation.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of office procedures, policies and protocols.
• Drafting and distributing communications, including emails, reports and presentations.
• Collecting, compiling and analysing transport and programme investment related data for reporting and decision-making purposes.
Your profile
• Transport and/or local government experience are useful for this role, but not essential if you have strong project support skills and a desire to learn quickly about relevant topics and terminology. You will need to bring:
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience of organising and delivering multi-faceted projects, in a formal or informal project management capacity.
• Working knowledge of project management principles.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with flexibility in the face of changing demands.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• The ability to work independently with initiative and as part of a team.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
